XCAV8 Plant Services is a leading specialist provider of heavy tracked trencher hire, supporting pipeline, civil infrastructure, renewable energy, mining and major construction projects throughout Australia and internationally. Backed by Australia’s largest specialist fleets, we provide wet and dry hire solutions using Vermeer and Trencor trenchers ranging from 185 to 950 horsepower.

Tracked trenchers provide a safe, controlled and highly productive method of excavating consistent trenches through soil, sandstone and hard rock. Compared with conventional excavation methods, trenchers can deliver a cleaner trench profile, consistent width and depth, reduced over-excavation and less material handling. The excavated material is discharged alongside the trench, ready for removal or reuse as backfill where suitable.

Our trenchers support the installation of gas, water and sewer pipelines, electrical and fibre-optic services, drainage systems and underground cables for wind and solar farms. Applications range from narrow utility trenches to deep, wide excavations for major cross-country pipelines, deep sewer infrastructure and large-diameter water projects.

With available trench widths from approximately 200 mm to 1.9 metres and cutting depths of up to 9 metres, XCAV8 can configure equipment to suit the required trench dimensions, ground conditions and production targets.
